Awful news. I got to know him a bit through junior hammers and the summer training camps when I was a kid, a top bloke and humble too. Plus he had the best celebration ever seen at upton park. RIP Eamon

I remember well his double v Sunderland, didn't he get cancer earlier in his life and recovered? Is this linked to that?

oh no...
I went to secondary school with eamonn dolan and his twin brother , Patrick. we all played in the same school, district and sunday teams for 5 years. they were both really great blokes.
lost touch after leaving school, but always followed his west ham career with interest.
sad day.

was a pleasure watching him play a part in slater's wonder goal and I was at filbert street when he and cottee walked in to the stands to watch the game. a top bloke and a terrible shame for his family

Sad news, I was in north bank when he scored those two goals against Sunderland and did that jig, weird how you never forget a moment like that.
